This examination represents the introduction of a new patient to our practice, and is more encompassing than typical prophylaxis service. It includes:

• full mouth series of x-rays
• full mouth periodontal probing to measure pocket depths and recession documentation
• intra-oral photographs
• head and neck exam
• intra-oral cancer screening
• a thorough clinical examination of all teeth and periodontium

Initial exams occur on specific days within the practice and can take as long as 2 hours to complete.
